There are plenty of useful items that you can buy male or female business travelers. Of course seasoned travelers will no doubt have most things they need but here are a few ideas:

CURRENCY

As the Euro is the currency of many Europeans countries you could buy the traveler in your life a small selection of loose change and small bank notes and wrap them in a new stylish wallet. As a traveler a good secure wallet is a must and the smaller denominations of currency are perfect for buying items such as water and snacks at the airport. If they travel or will be traveling to England or the USA you could do the same with a selection of British or American coins and notes.

FLIGHT SOCKS

These may not sound very romantic but could be lifesavers and may be the perfect gift.

GUIDE BOOKS

Wherever the business person is traveling to may be new to them. Guide books and or maps could be really useful.

ENTERTAINMENT

There are so many possibilities these days. How about a Disc-man and a selection of books as well as music on Disc? It is not always possible to read on a train but you could have the novel playing to you through headphones. Headphones on their own are a great gift, also, for the business traveler. Having some really portable and compact headphones could be perfect for traveling. A small computer game such as a game-boy could while away a few lonely hours for the traveler. Tiny portable televisions and DVD players are also readily available these days and at good prices so shop around.Puzzle and crossword books can help someone happily pass a little time.

SMELLIES

A selection of travel size toiletries in a convenient toilet bag could save the traveler a great deal of shopping, time and money.

TRAVEL ALARM CLOCK

As a business traveler is not on holiday, they will often need to rise early. A compact travel alarm may include a radio also and so provide some entertainment and valuable information.

ESSENTIALS

Extras for a laptop such as a good carrying case, discs or memory stick may be really handy.

A briefcase for the more conventional traveler could be just what is wanted.

A good selection of writing implements which work well whether you are sat at a desk or on a plane would be good.Of course writing paper and envelopes would also be needed.

A selection of stamps, if you know what country the traveler is going to, may help.

A travel torch, spare batteries, a travel kettle, a mosquito plug and sun creams could be just as handy to the business traveler as a holiday maker.

A money belt to safely store cash.

A passport cover.

A small fleece cover for extra warmth whilst traveling and a inflatable neck pilow for comfort are both great on planes.

Perhaps a book token which would enable the recipient to purchase some light reading would be good. Not all business travelers will be traveling in style and therefore restaurant vouchers may also be a good idea.

A GOOD DIARY

The business traveler will need to keep up to date with their schedule and appointments and a good diary or planner will really help.

TECHNOLOGY

If you are feeling very generous you may consider buying a Blackberry as a present. You know one of those palm held phones that double as a small computer for sending and receiving emails. If these are too pricey some of the cheaper mobile phones will have the same capabilities. Still too pricey? How about a memory card for a camera or an MP3 player. The smaller ones of these start at extremely low prices as do MP3 players themselves.

As you can see there are many possibilities and I have only mentioned some of them.
