The Future of Car Hire – Cutting-Edge Technologies Applied to Car Hire Industry

When you think of car hire you probably remember the experience of that summer vacation where you spent an hour after getting off the plane trying to find the little mobile van so that you could retrieve the keys to something that resembled a fridge on wheels, before spluttering out of the airport in a foreign country on the wrong side of the road with one eye on the map and the other trying to remember how to change gear with your right hand.

Car Hire is the last place you would think, in this day of global warming and computer technologies, that would be leading the forefront of technologies to reduce green-house gases and such things but in a few cases around the globe it is the Car Hire firms that are taking technology by the scruff of the neck and producing some real results.

The obvious technologies that are being introduced are hybrid fuel cars. Whist these are greener in terms of green house emissions, there are still questions as to how green they really are. The cost of making the hybrid fuel ethanol has already led to corn production impinging on wheat fields leading to a spike in the price of wheat and the many foodstuffs that it goes into, bread, pasta etc. The case that we cannot afford to turn over our arable land in the pursuit of producing enough ethanol from corn to replace gasoline is a strong one. But as an issue putting carbon emission in front of the consumer, it currently is all we have. When we start complaining about the $10 loaf of bread we will know it has gone too far!

The lesser known technologies now being introduced however show forefront thinking. A firm in Boston is now providing a 24/7 car hire system called Zipcar where consumers effectively give up their car for a rental based on hourly use. Once the customer has signed up he can book a car by the hour and using a credit card style key has only to travel a short distance to pick up a car in his immediate location. The car is equipped with GRPS and black-box technologies which not only control the ignition but also allow the car to be tracked via satellite reducing fraud and theft. The company says that for every car that they employ up to 20 cars are taken off the road thus reducing congestion and overall fuel emissions.

In the UK, car hire firms in association with the local police are requiring bio-metric identification in the form of a fingerprint before you can register for your car. Whilst there have been some complaints by customers, the idea that has seriously reduced theft and fraud is the same argument being put forward for full bio-metric ID cards in that the innocent have nothing to fear and it is only those who have something they wish to hide that are being thwarted.

With many of us now thinking about our summer vacations to France, Italy and beyond it is good to know that at least one of the industries involved in getting us to our destination is thinking about our carbon footprint. It may be some time before we can vacation completely conscience free these days, but who would have thought that those companies that put us in those little deathtraps and sent us on our way into the abyss would be the fore-runners of the new technologies.

Italy Cooking School Tours: How To Choose The Right One For You

Cooking school tours in Italy and around the world have multiplied like zucchinis in a summer garden.

This article tells you how to sift through the overwhelming choice of Italian cooking tours and find the right one for you, so you experience a feast for your senses, heart, mind and soul, a trip of a lifetime and avoid disappointments.

A cooking holiday in Italy can add up to a big investment of time and money.

Maybe you’ve been dreaming for years about a cooking school tour in Italy. Maybe it’s a special trip to celebrate a 40th, 50, 60th birthday or a big anniversary with family and friends you love.

How to choose an Italian cooking school tour that gives you the joy and value you expect? How to protect your investment in your trip?

Ask yourself these 10 questions.

1. What is important to me in my Italian cooking tour?

List what’s important to you in your cooking tour. Read tour itineraries critically with the mind of a detective. If an itinerary seems vague, ask the tour operator detailed questions.

Here are some examples of what may be important to you and what to look for in tour itineraries.

A. Lots of cooking lessons? How many lessons are in the itinerary?

B. Lots of wine visits? How many winery visits and wine tastings are in the itinerary? Where do they take place? In wineries with the producer? In wine shops with a knowledgeable staff member?

C. Lots of stimulating food visits? What kind? Cheese and olive oil producers? Truffle hunting? Make sure the itinerary has visits that make YOUR mouth water.

D. Immersing yourself in Italian life? How many different local people do you meet and how many different towns or locations do you visit?

What kind of Italian cultural experiences delight you? Meeting an artist in his ceramic studio? Cooking in a family’s home and dining with the family? Are these events in your tour?

2. What is my budget?

Prices for a six day Italian cooking tour package vary from about $2000 to 5100 Cdn or $1900 to $4800 U.S. Four day tours go from about $1200 to 3400 Cdn or $1100 to $3200 U.S. at current exchange rates.

3. What kind of accommodation is best for me?

Some people are happy in simple, clean rooms in B & Bs with minimal decor because they’re hardly ever in the room. They prefer to put their money towards special food and wine experiences. Is this you?

Others want beautiful, four star hotels or country properties with magnificent views and rooms oozing with historical charm and designer decor. Is this you?

4. What kind of excursions do I want?

Is this your first time in this particular region so you prefer sightseeing? Are you a foodie hungering for gastronomic adventures or a wine lover thirsting for winery tours? If you’d like a bit of it all, how much sightseeing and how many food and wine visits do you want?

Often cheaper tours offer mostly sightseeing where you explore and shop in medieval towns and admire beautiful country panoramas.

More expensive tours give you exclusive gastronomic visits where you watch artisan producers making cheese or tour wineries with owners who tell you all you ever wanted to know about their wines and give you special tastings.

5. When do I want to travel in Italy?

Are you keen on the wine harvest? Food lovers swarm to Italy for the wine harvest in September and October when you have a large number of cooking tour choices so reserve early.

Is warm weather important? Generally in most parts of Italy, mid May to mid October are warm to hot. July and August in some parts of Italy may be too hot for you.

Would you like a quieter time when chefs and winery owners can give you more personal attention? You’ll find a good choice of cooking tours in May and June.

In steaming mid August most Italian businesses shut for annual summer holidays. Cities empty out. Masses flock to the mountains or beaches, leaving cities like Florence to the tourists. You’ll find less cooking school choice in August.

6. How many people in my cooking class?

Six or eight? You’ll get to prepare the whole lunch or dinner menu.

Ten or more? You’ll join the “eggplant” or “tiramisu” team and not learn how to make the other dishes. But the more the merrier! A larger class also may give you demonstration style, not hands-on lessons. Which do you prefer?

7. What level of cooking teacher and class do I need?

You can savour once in a lifetime experiences with great home cooks on their farms. If you’re a gourmet cook, you may prefer more professional level cooking lessons with restaurant chefs. Check cooking teachers’ qualifications.

Ask about class level. Most classes are geared to food loving tourists, ranging from gourmet cooks to rank beginners. If the thought of cooking with people who can’t separate eggs gives you nightmares, gather your own group of good cooks together for a private cooking tour or classes.

8. What kind of cooking lessons do I like?

Hands-on lessons where you put your hands in the flour, or demonstration style classes where you watch the chef’s expert moves and ask lots of questions?

Many demonstration classes tend to be large from 10 to even 20 people. Julia Childs reportedly had 40 disciples watching her in classes at the five star Hotel Cipriani in Venice and following her in a long line through the Rialto market.

9. Where do I eat on my cooking tour?

Do you want to eat in a variety of local restaurants, so you get a real flavour of different cooking styles and towns and countryside in Italy?

Or do you prefer quieter meals at your country villa or estate, where the chef feels like an Italian family member?

Less expensive cooking tours feature most meals at home, while more expensive ones take you to more restaurants.

10. What is included and not included in the price of my cooking tour?

Some tour itineraries don’t make it crystal clear what’s included. Some say “optional” excursions or lunch “on your own” which mean you pay extra. Some say “evening at leisure” which means free time and dining on your own.

11. Ask for references

If you want to feel reassured you’ve chosen the right Italian cooking tour, ask the tour operator for names of past tour clients and their e-mails. Contact them to find out first hand if the itinerary delivers on what you want to experience.

For many food and wine lovers, taking a cooking tour in Italy means a long time dream is coming true and represents a big investment of time and money.

Make sure your dream becomes a fabulous real experience. When you have a short list of tours that appeal to you, read the itineraries critically and ask yourself these 10 questions.

Buon viaggio! Buon appetito!

Binge eating disorders

When most people think of eating disorders, immediately they imagine a starved celebrity, probably suffering from anorexia or bulimia, but few realize that the most common and unspoken eating disorder is, in fact, binge-eating disorder.

Drawing the line

Because it is normal for people to overeat on occasion, some may find it difficult to determine whether or not they have binge-eating disorder. Binge-eating disorder is characterized by regularly eating excessive amounts of food and where a binge lasts anywhere from two hours to an entire day. People who binge-eat may continue to eat, even after feeling like they are full. Binge-eaters may, or may not, be obese or overweight. Typically a binge is followed by guilty feelings and therefore the binge-eater tries to restrict their diet. This restriction on food usually leads the binge-eater to another binge-period.

Symptoms of binge-eating include eating until discomfort, eating fast, frequent dieting without weight loss, eating alone, hoarding food, hiding empty food containers, feeling disgusted over amount eaten and depression. Some experts believe that binge-eaters may have a form of bulimia; only, they do not purge themselves after a binge.

Binge-eating can cause many psychological and physical health effects. Complications can include obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, muscle pain, headaches, depression, anxiety, substance abuse and sleeping problems. People with this disorder typically have a poor self-image and may have struggled in the past with psychological issues or sexual abuse.

Binge-eating is not preventable, but parents can initiate healthy eating habits in children at an early age. Keeping healthy foods in the fridge and building self-esteem are two ways to begin.

While there are many self-help treatment methods and medications available, cognitive behavioral therapy is an effective treatment method. Cognitive behavioral therapy teaches people how to substitute unhealthy habits for healthy ones and helps them deal with emotions that trigger the need to binge in the first place.

Coping methods may include yoga, journaling or even exercise like walking. Constantly berating oneself for overeating will not resolve the problem, so the best advice is to move towards a healthy future- – and never look back.

Using the Law of Attraction for Weight Loss

The Secret, it is called. It lay practically dormant since its inception, long before the Knights of Templar and the Code named for a Tuscan Renaissance man, artist and inventor; long before any void of noble blood would know of its existence.

Then, because of a small, made-for-television movie produced for Australia’s Channel Nine, the secret was out.

Thank goodness, and a willing media.

Beth and I have been practicing, living, and teaching The Secret – its true name is the Law of Attraction – for ten years when the rest of the world caught on. And we whole-heartedly believe that if there is one true law that can heal the world and put and keep all of us who inhabit it back on track, it is the Law of Attraction. It is the one, true earthly (actually, Universal) law that fits all, because the pure tenet of this ancient “New Thought” is that everyone – regardless of race, religion, geography, or political ideology – deserves a happy, secure life where all wants and needs are available for all.

Sounds good – too good, we know… we hear it all the time. Yet if this law – and it is a law, not unlike any other physical law of the Universe – has no bearing in everyday reality and human existence, why has it spanned ages and appeared to work for some of the most revered in our societies? It has clearly ignored borders, religions, and political affiliations over the eons it has been recognized.

Is there something to it?

Yes, there is. Just ask us, and the hundreds of thousands around the world who have connected with all that is good through the Wonderful Law of Attraction. And if you don’t believe us, just ask Oprah.

American cultural icon Oprah Winfrey has openly hailed the Law of Attraction on her highly rated syndicated talk show, as well as in print, on her radio network, and as a guest on the Larry King Show. She is the walking, talking poster child of the Law of Attraction, and she has the successful, happy, giving, and full life that emotes everything that is The Secret. And like all who truly practice the Law of Attraction – present company included – she wants everyone including you to know about it.

A WEIGHTY LOA QUESTION

At our many lectures, meetings, and seminars that we appear at each year, the inevitable question is raised by an audience member. “Can I lose weight with the Law of Attraction?” The answer is a clear and concise Yes!

How do we know this? Because using the Law of Attraction, and the Universal methods of thought to emotion to end result, Beth lost 50 pounds and I lost over 100 pounds. When I began using the LOA for weight loss, I weighed in at 440 pounds. And I continue to lose and manage my weight. My Law of Attraction success in this, my most lifelong troubling struggle, erased any atom of lingering doubt I ever harbored concerning LOA.

First, in case you are a little confused by The Secret, and are perhaps new to the idea of it, we’d better explain how the Law of Attraction works. Everything in the physical world where we exist vibrates. EVERYTHING whether it be dirt, a tree, a human being—these all emit a vibration. Even a rock vibrates—albeit at a much slower and barely perceptible pace—and a human being vibrates at a far more rapid rate.

These vibrational patterns translate to everything that you are feeling, which moves the Universe to, in turn, attract exactly what those feelings are. So if you are thinking (feeling) about how angry you may be at someone, the Universe takes that emotion and emits (returns) directly back to you what you happen to be feeling. You always attract exactly what you are feeling. THIS IS THE LAW OF ATTRACTION.

So if you are feeling wonderful, and thinking about how great your day is, and you are happy and grateful for that wonderful day, the Universe attracts (returns) to you exactly what you are feeling —more days of joy and wonder. What could be better than that? However, as is usually the case, there are a few problems with us humans when it comes to attracting what we desire.

In society today, people usually don’t listen to their intuition. We instead rely on other people to tell us “what is.” It’s kind of like old fable, “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” when an entire kingdom was convinced that despite naked truth, they all agreed that His Majesty’s new clothes were all the rage — the living end! How often do we see our fellow citizens jump into line like lemmings to the sea, and how often do we accept the opinions of others as uncontestable fact? We think you would agree that the fashion mavens have accomplished that, much to the chagrin and disappointment of the fully two-thirds of the American public that cannot fit into the clothes they market.

It’s time that we listen to ourselves and stop listening to what is really just other people’s opinions telling you what to think. This brings us to our first, and most important, question that we will ask of you this lesson: Who are you losing this weight for? Is it for you? Is it for someone else? Are you losing it because you want to feel better, or do you simply want to lose a few pounds for a swimsuit that is calling your name?

The right answer — and in this case there is a right answer — is: FOR YOU. You must only lose weight for you. If you are not losing the weight for you, then you might as well grab a gallon of Baskin-Robbins and go sit in a corner with a big spoon and a TV remote control. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks you should do. You must commit to losing the weight only for you.

If losing the weight will make you happy, then that is the biggest reason for you to lose the weight. Sure, losing weight for health reasons is always good and noble, but the main reason we want to help you to lose weight is because it will make you happy. See, that’s how the Law of Attraction works. It is all about what you desire; what will cause you to be happy. This, by the way, is not greedy… no matter what the Nay Sayers say. (And they DO love to say, say, say!) This is the Wonderful Law of Attraction, and to be able to create whatever life you want for your self is the Universe’s greatest gift to you.

DOWN GO THE POUNDS (OR KILOS!)

We were at a Wellness of the Mind retreat and we talked about the Law of Attraction and losing weight. There were many people there who lived their life through the Law of Attraction and, as always, there were people new to the LOA, and the usual weight loss questions were posed.

Weight loss through the Law of Attraction will take some of you a shorter amount of time, and for others it may take a little longer. It all depends on your mindset. LOVE yourself, ENJOY yourself, YOU are a wonderful person who creates your Universe. Isn’t that powerful? Your own body regenerates every second. You are a part of that. YOU can regenerate your body to be what you want, you can!

Maybe this is the week that you have a night that you treat yourself for just being you: The you that you are right now, and think about all the things that make YOU happy and joyous.

A doctor once asked Beth if she exercised and she said, “I walk about a half a mile each day.” The doctor replied, “Is that all? You need to exercise AT LEAST a mile each day!” Beth looked at the doctor and said, “Is that all? Are you kidding me? I didn’t move at all before. This half-mile is a big deal for me. When I am darn good and ready to go a mile, when I FEEL like I WANT to, then I will. I know that a half-mile is better than none at all, and my body knows it. Don’t make me try to feel bad. I’m proud of myself!”

Remember to continue doing what is working for you. Just those little steps help immensely over a year’s time, and if that ‘normal’ mind is feeling deprived, eat one bowl of popcorn instead of two, or eat half a candy bar instead of a whole one and save the rest for a couple of hours later. Your ‘normal’ mind will be appeased.

Listen to your body before you eat something. Sometimes it isn’t hungry, but we feed it anyway. ENJOY every bite! Try not to rip-snort through a whole meal in ten seconds flat. ENJOY every little thing that you put in your mouth and be thankful for that wonderful body of yours. You created it with help, and you can fine-tune it just as easily. Law Of Attraction: The Effect Of Positive Thinking

We each have our own internal voice, which is shaped in how we listen, talk and have been programmed by early learning experiences, all these occurrences shape our inner voice which in turn influences the way we think, what we are open to believing, and our actions. Therefore, what we send out to the universe is what is returned to us, in accordance to the law of attraction.

The power of positive thinking is something that comes natural for some, for others it is something to be learned. Nevertheless, we can change our inner voice, if we put our mind and heart to the task, we can shape our inner voice with positive thinking and positive actions. When applying positive thinking in relationship to the law of attraction, the results are positive manifestations of our will.

Positive thinking is a lifetime commitment of making your dreams come true by being honest, courteous, kind and up beat with yourself and others. We learn positive thinking by controlling our thoughts, and actively pushing the negative thoughts out of our minds with the tools of positive thinking. Once we start using the power of positive thinking, we must keep our mind attentive of what is important to us, while keeping sight of our purpose and main concerns in our thoughts and deeds. Once positive energy is activated naturally, the law of attraction kicks in mode to bring into your life the results of your practice of positive thinking.

Being able to visualize what actions we need to take, and then putting them into practice in our every day life, will enable us to work out our approach when dealing with any problem that might come our way. Controlled positive thinking can aid us in relaxing within ourselves, which in turn enables us to enjoy the success that we achieve through the law of attraction.

Along with learning the art of positive thinking there also comes challenges as we work to grow out of the negative thinking process, these are challenges we all face in our own way to reprogram ourselves and our thoughts, we must stay confident in our endeavor to eliminate the negative thoughts within our minds. As we actively learn positive thinking, we must be willing to modify or develop ourselves each day, giving actions and thoughts our very best possible effort in controlling the outcome to positive thinking.

We have to meet every new day and situation with the determination of doing our best, while being open to new ideas, situations and people. If we suffer a bad day, we should not become discouraged, as it is natural to have down days, when this happens we must accept that we are only human and begin again to apply the art of positive thinking and its law of attraction once more. We must see this as one of our challenges, and a stepping-stone of our growth as we replace negative thoughts with positive thinking and begin enjoying the positive law of attraction.

By committed and controlled efforts of positive thinking and welcoming the law of attraction into our lives, we begin to transform our inner voice for a better outcome of our thoughts, which then aids us in signs of noticeable enhancement in the way we function and in our energy levels.

With these improvements comes an uplifting in self-esteem that encourages and enables us to think and perform better which in turn reduces stress as positive thoughts attract thoughts that are even more positive. Choosing to use positive thinking in turns creates thoughts that are more positive and with those thoughts bring into play positive reality; it is characterized as the Law of Attraction.

The Law of Attraction is a wonderful factor of positive thinking and they compliment each other nicely as positive thinking and the law of attraction are both beneficial energies as like attracts like. They work on simple principles, yet they must be put into practice by thoughts and performance.

Think for a moment of your being a human magnet, know that which you put forth and send out, is that which you will receive, positive thinking along with positive action will bring to you by the law of attraction, a higher level of self esteem, which aids you in achieving your goals. In other words, what you think and do is what you are, and what you get from life. Choosing the best outcome is the better and less stress filled path to tread.

For example, by use of positive thinking and its law of attraction a person in need, knowing their own talents and qualities which they have already affirmed by positive thought enhances their own positive law of attraction and will enable them to obtain anything they can possibly think to bring to themselves.

In a nutshell, positive thinking along with the law of attraction will help you to create the life resources you desire. Give to yourself and the world the best that is possible for you to give, and it will return to you, give thanks for the positive thought laws of attraction the circle continues.

How to fly fish like a local in Montana

Fly fishing like a local in Montana requires some research. As in any endeavor, you are rewarded based on the effort that you put into a project.

One of the first requirements is to purchase a topographical atlas for the state. Delorme offers a good atlas for less than $20.00 that is very detailed. There is a state map showing the identity for different locations and the code number takes you to a detailed page where 1″ equals 4 miles. It shows contour intervals and many of the natural features of the landscape as well as major highways.

Make a listing of the major river systems. You should concentrate on the western part of the state, as this offers the best fly fishing.

Use this list to do an Internet search for details about these river systems and gather as much information about water conditions, fish species and terrain.

Some good fishing guidebooks are good investments. They will provide details about rivers, fish species, local fly shops and guide services. Some good choices are: “Fishing Montana” by Michael Sample (Falcon Publishing Company), “The Yellowstone Fly-Fishing Guide” by Craig Matthews and Clayton Molinero (Lyons and Burford, Publishers), “Fly Fishing the Madison” by Craig Matthews and Gary LaFontaine (The Globe Pequot Press), and “Flyfisher’s Guide to Montana” by Greg Thomas (Wilderness Adventures Press). Another neat volume is “Fly Patterns of Yellowstone” by Craig Matthews and John Juracek (Blue Ribbon Flies) which may be out of print now.

After all this research, call some fly shops in the area that you have determined as the best prospects. Ask them about the best time period to visit the selected waters. Most shops will gladly share this information in hopes of booking a guided trip for you.

Once you determine the best time period for a trip, book the travel and arrive, visit the local fly shops and find out which fly patterns are successful on which streams. Even if you have plenty of the flies recommended, purchase some flies and items as a goodwill gesture for the information that they share. Most of these guys are long-time fishermen and want to help you have a good trip, but they are businessmen as well and need to generate revenue. They may even share some specific location information with you to get you into some fish in a hurry.

Now you are armed with information, maps, recommended flies, and some specific locations to start, it is up to you to use your skill as a fly fisherman to pursue and take some trophy trout. You have taken the steps to assure that you will be able to fish like a local.

“Freelancing” is a very rewarding way of fly-fishing. You know that you have met the challenge without the services of a guide and been successful. There certainly nothing wrong with booking a good guide, but if you are up to the challenge of freelancing, you can save a significant amount of money and still have a great trip.

My friend and I live in South Carolina and we have freelance fly-fished in Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, British Columbia and Alberta and these are some of our most memorable trips. There is a special thrill in “doing it your own way”.

Discover Why You Need to Learn the Basics Before You Try to Use the Law of Attraction

If there is a mystical power in the universe which could bestow great things on you, it may be the Law of Attraction. This will manifest you joy, riches, and physical & mental health. You just need to recognize how to utilize it. Some basic principles of the Law of Attraction can assist your progress.

A significant principle of the Law of Attraction is that what you think about becomes reality. What you think about is energy, exactly as the whole universe is energy. Whilst you contemplate your world, or merely let ideas enter your mind, you are determining your reality. You achieve this by way of the Law of Attraction. The energy you transmit attracts comparable energy. The universe then reacts to your feelings by returning the energy. This occurs for positive or negative feelings.

Another foundation in understanding the Law of Attraction is that it’s too challenging to monitor each one of the many thousands of thoughts which you have each day. The intention, rather, should be to nurture a feeling of well-being, joy and gratitude. This will achieve more than attempting to alter every thought one by one. Feelings are crucial to the Law of Attraction.

One guiding principle of those using the Law of Attraction is thus: ‘life is intended to be happy and fulfilling’. Unfortunately a lot of people believe that their lives will be nothing more than stressful work situations, miserable relationships, bad health, and a stack of debt. Unless these folks alter their attitudes, they will never discover the abundance that they can bring forth using the Law of Attraction.

There can not be a deficiency of anything which you desire if you employ the Law of Attraction. This is a further basic principle of the Law of Attraction. It signifies that there is plenty for everybody to have and to achieve what they desire. This is particularly so as many people want particular things and others want something different. The Law of Attraction, states that what you desire is always possible. One construct of the Law of Attraction can be expressed like so, “what you get is what you see.” The meaning in this instance is when you see an outcome, you will vibrate with energy based on it. If you see positive & good results, you will transmit good energy.

This energy comes back to you in the shape of more positive results. So, to achieve positive results, you must find a means to see positive in situations. If you see bad, more bad will return to you. Conversely if you see good, more good returns. This is how the Law of Attraction operates. The idea of asking for specific things is a component of the Law of Attraction. When you ask the universe for what you wish for, you can have it. To achieve this, you must have faith in the universe to deliver. Then, you must assume it as if you already have it. Then you’ll discover the Law of Attraction bestowing all sorts of fine things on you.

The Law of Attraction can be both complex and simplistic at the same time. You need only ask what you desire and you will receive. Yet, to do that with faith, you must work on to restructuring your complete way of thinking. To achieve this it is beneficial to study the principles of the Law of Attraction.

Do you prefer fast food or home cooking?

Do You Prefer Fast Food or Home Cooking

Even though there is a lot to be said about fast food, I would still prefer home cooking in the long run. Fast food is alright, if you lead a life that is so full and busy, that you do not always have time to prepare home cooked foods.

Many families have two working parents these days, and having a home cooked meal is a thing that is only done on a weekend basis, because the parents work until dinner time, and do not have the time, or energy, to come home and fix a full course meal for the family.

As to whether fast food is nutritious or not, is another question that you should ask yourself. With all the ingredients that are added to the food, which make them fast foods, I think a lot of the nutrition is taken out of the food while it is being prepared.

Fast foods have so many preservatives in them that enable them to keep while on the shelves, that I sometimes wonder if they are any good at all. Everything has been covered up with so many spices, and other ingredients, that the taste suffers, and is not even the same as fresh foods anymore.

When you make a meal from fresh meats and vegetables, you put in only the spices you want to enhance the taste of the food; therefore, your food does not loose all the nutrients that are in them. There is nothing to compare with freshly made meals with the finest ingredients that can be bought. The taste is like nothing like you would get in any fast food restaurant.

How many times have you bought something in a can that tastes anything like what it would taste like, if you were to start from scratch? NEVER! I am a stay at home Mom and I make most of my meals from scratch. My family hates it when I buy a meal that only takes a few minutes to prepare, but it is sometimes necessary, if I have been really busy that day.

I bought a tray of lasagna one day for my family; I was really busy around the house and did not have time to prepare a big meal. When I served it to my family, they did not eat too much of it, they said that it tasted like crap. That statement was not there to offend anyone that is only one family’s opinion. There are a lot of people that eat this type of food all the time; therefore, they think it is very good.

There are many families that eat fast food all the time. I wonder if they know what it is to have a meal cooked from scratch. Take a stew, for instance, it’s made from so many different vegetables and beef or chicken broth. To make this stew you have to start early in the day, and let it simmer throughout the day so the ingredients can blend into one another. This is what makes it taste so good.

If you buy a can of stew, it is made in bulk and done so fast that the ingredients do not have the time to blend, therefore, the stew is bland, with hardly any taste at all. I know there are millions of people that prefer the fast foods that are on the market today, but for me, and my family, we prefer the homemade meals that take time to prepare.

Now, speaking of fast food restaurants, these again are foods that are made in large quantities in a short period of time, and I have to wonder just how good for you, they really are. It takes time for the flavor to seep through each ingredient in order for them to taste the taste that I would like to eat.

Fast food in alright in some cases, but, in the long run, home cooked meals is always the best way to go, if you want the quality of food you would like to serve your family. Some people that were raised on fast foods, would probably not like the foods that are created from individual ingredients that are good for them, but that is the way our world is going, everything is in fast forward.
